Delhi, August 2025 — PQStation is proud to share that our co-founder and advisor, Prof. Anupam Chattopadhyay, was invited to speak at the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), New Delhi, on the occasion of C-DOT’s Foundation Day. The invitation was extended by Prashant Chugh, and the session formed part of the event’s “Quantum Technologies” track.
Prof. Chattopadhyay delivered an engaging talk on “Security in the Quantum Era,” highlighting how the rapid advancement of quantum computing is transforming the global security landscape. His address focused on three critical pillars shaping the future of cryptographic resilience:
The Quantum Threat: The advent of quantum computers poses a significant risk to current cryptographic standards, as many widely used public-key algorithms—such as RSA and ECC—will become vulnerable once large-scale quantum machines emerge.
The Need for Migration: Every organisation must adopt a structured roadmap to migrate their cryptographic systems and assets from classical to quantum-safe paradigms using Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)standards.
The Urgency to Act: Cryptographic transition is a complex and time-intensive process. Organisations must begin planning and implementing migration strategies now to ensure operational continuity and long-term data security.
Insights from the Session
Prof. Chattopadhyay’s session was part of a broader panel on Quantum Technologies, which also featured distinguished speakers Prof. C.M. Chandrasekhar (IISc Bangalore) and Prof. Anirban Pathak (JIIT Noida). Together, the speakers explored the evolving frontiers of quantum communications, computing, and cryptography, and discussed India’s growing momentum in advancing secure quantum networks.
